Objectives:
Main objective of CyberSEA is to improve cybersecurity in the maritime industry by increasing awareness and training for
cadets and seafarers. By creating educational materials and piloting remote labs, the project will equip seafarers with the
knowledge and skills needed to protect ships and their cargo from cyberattacks. CyberSEA will foster a network of experts,
promote cyber resiliency and advocate for the adoption of the CyberSEA approach as a standard for maritime education.
Implementation:
The CyberSEA project aims to improve cybersecurity in the maritime sector by identifying vulnerabilities, developing training
resources, remote laboratories and a virtual hub, creating an online training course, and providing training to trainers in
Greece. The project will also pilot the delivery of training with cadets and seafarers and engage in dissemination and
exploitation activities to promote best practices.
Results:
Expected results of CyberSEA are:
-Improved awareness and skills in the area of cybersecurity in the maritime sector
-Development of a state-of-the-art training programme on cybersecurity for the merchant marine industry
-Increased capacity of trainers to teach cybersecurity
-Establishment of a remote cybersecurity labs and hub for practical training opportunities
-Increased adoption of cybersecurity best practices in the maritime sector
